About this theme

About Glass Memory

Glass Memory uses an ancient cobalt-blue glass object from the Art Institute of Chicago as material reference, then turns it into an abstract light composition rather than reproducing the object. Wide translucent planes overlap on the right in faded cobalt, periwinkle, and dusty lilac. The left and center remain pearl-gray and lightly textured. Charcoal text, cool gray secondary text, and a muted violet accent pick up the aged-glass palette without sharp crystal edges or bright rainbow glare.

Visual direction

Faded cobalt and periwinkle glass planes overlap on the right of a pearl-gray, softly textured field.

What changes

  • Adds broad translucent cobalt, smoke-blue, and lilac layers on the right.
  • Uses charcoal primary text and cool gray secondary text.
  • Applies a muted violet accent with softly rounded, cool-bordered light surfaces.

  • People who prefer cool light palettes with more color than Polar Blue.
  • Workspaces that suit translucent glass, faded cobalt, and restrained lilac.
  • Users who want an art-derived abstract background without a recognizable museum object.
