Privacy Policy
This Policy explains what Codex Skin uses to provide accounts, subscriptions, device authorization, theme delivery, security, and support.

We collect only the records needed to operate Codex Skin and protect the service.
We may process your email address, account identifier, authentication records, subscription and order identifiers, payment status, access dates, renewal or cancellation status, and refund facts. Full card numbers and CVC values are handled by our payment provider and are not stored by Codex Skin.
We may process an approved device name, operating system, Plugin and Helper versions, token-family status, timestamps, requested theme ID and version, download issuance or completion, apply result, byte counts, and stable error codes. These records support authorization, delivery, abuse prevention, and refund review.

Codex Skin is not designed to read your Codex work.
We do not collect prompts, conversations, source code, project files, arbitrary logs, screenshots, or absolute local paths by default. We do not ask you to send passwords, tokens, cookies, device approval secrets, or payment credentials.
When Pro expires or a refund is granted, new Pro downloads, updates, switching, and reapplication stop. Codex Skin does not remotely remove the appearance already active on your computer. Restore remains available, and applying a Pro theme again after Restore requires active Pro access.

We use information for specific product and legal purposes.
We use account, order, device, and theme-delivery records to authenticate you, create and confirm subscriptions, determine Free or Pro access, authorize devices, deliver verified themes, investigate errors, prevent abuse, and operate Restore and support.
We may retain or disclose limited records when required for tax, accounting, fraud prevention, dispute handling, lawful requests, or protection of users and the service. We do not sell your personal information.

We rely on a small number of providers to run Codex Skin.
Payment and subscription processing may be handled by Creem as merchant of record. Cloudflare and other infrastructure or authentication providers may process limited information to host the service, secure traffic, store data, and deliver email or account functions under their own terms and privacy commitments.
Providers may process information in countries other than your own. We use available contractual and technical safeguards appropriate to the service and remain subject to mandatory privacy rights that apply to you.

We keep records only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes above and applicable obligations.
Retention varies by record type, including active account needs, subscription and accounting obligations, security windows, dispute handling, and legal requirements. We use access controls, scoped credentials, encryption in transit, and product boundaries designed to reduce unnecessary data.
Depending on your location, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, or objection. Email contact@codexskin.ai. We may need to verify your identity and may retain records required by law or needed to resolve legitimate disputes.

Codex Skin is a general software product, not a service directed to children.
Do not use Codex Skin if you cannot lawfully consent to the processing described here or enter into the Terms. If you believe a child provided personal information improperly, contact us.
We may update this Policy as the product, providers, or law changes. The effective date at the top identifies the current version. Material changes will be communicated through the service or another reasonable channel.
